Cruinniú na nÓg continues to showcase the creative potential of children and young people during the pandemic.

This year Cruinniú na nÓg takes place largely online due to social distancing restrictions imposed because of COVID-19. The one day event offers young people the opportunity to show their artistic inventiveness.

'Resilient/Resilience' a street art project overseen by artist Joe Caslin has seen young people create images they feel reflect their time during the pandemic. Speaking at the launch of at Rua Red Gallery in Tallaght Joe Caslin says the voice of young people can be forgotten about at some of the most important times.

Artist Lucy Callan Bergin says the project provided an outlet and a distraction from the pandemic. Artist Josh Cummins believes that art can provide a good outlet for anxiety.

This is just one of 500 art projects designed for children and young people as part of Cruinniú na nÓg.

Director of Creative Ireland Tania Banotti has been blown away by the level of talent displayed.
