Defence Forces members take part in a two day exercise in Mayo.
Over 100 troops from the FCA's 5th Motor Squadron and the 18th Infantry Battalion took part in a training operation codename Birds Nest.
The excercise saw armoured vehicles and troops deployed to seal off Castlebar Airport for three and a half hours while a top level conference was taking place.
Approach roads to the airport were sealed off by army personnel and traffic was diverted.
