The chance to bag a bargain as lost and unclaimed property is auctioned at Kevin Street Garda Station.

A coffin with a floral tribute is one of the more surprising items in the lost and unclaimed property auction held at Kevin Street Garda Station in Dublin. The item was bought for the bargain price of £1.50.

The Department of Justice super sale also had the usual collection of abandoned baggage, crash helmets by the bundle.

Some of the more unusual items auctioned in the station stores include a milk churn, a barber's pole, tennis rackets, and crutches.

Clocks, cameras, watches and even medical instruments went under the hammer.

An Garda Síochána makes every effort to find the original owners before the items go up for auction.
