Who will represent the Republic of Ireland in the European penalty kick competition?
Eight soccer players take part in the final stage of the Irish qualifying competition to decide who will represent the Republic of Ireland in the European Penalty Kick Competition. They are Anthony Hopper, Michael Byrne, Tim Moriarty, Michael Shelly, Mark Ingle, Seamus Walshe, David Nimmo and Derek Coyle.
The competitors are whittled down to two players who have to go head to head in a sudden death penalty shoot out. The victor is Michael Shelly, with Seamus Walsh coming second, and Mark Ingle in third place.
