DJ Mek, Pete Mescall is the first all Ireland mixing champion.
Demonstrating his mixing skills DJ Mek plays a quick set using ten different records.
Fourteen DJs took part in the elimination heats of the Republic of Ireland DMC Champion and six were selected to compete in the final at Judge Roy Beans in Dublin.
The judges that were down from Belfast weren't expecting the standard to be so high.
The prize for taking the title as the DJ Mixing Champion, sponsored by Technics, was a DMC PMX-2 Mixer and a Technics deck. DJ Mek will also be representing Ireland at the World Championships on 20 March.
