A montage of photographs from the Lawrence Collection of Cork city scenes at the turn of the century.

'Steps and Steeples' is a new book about Cork at the turn of the century, featuring photographs from the Lawrence Collection. Written by Colm Lincoln, who used photographs to describe life in Cork at the turn of the century. The Lawrence Collection is deposited in the National Library of Ireland.

Presented here is a montage of photographs from the book, accompanied by Frank Patterson singing 'The Banks of My Own Lovely Lee'.

The book was published as volume one of O'Brien Press's 'Urban Heritage Series'.
