With two awards and an imminent second album Something Happens begin the new decade with nothing to prove.

Dublin band Something Happens are Tom Dunne (vocals), Ray Harman (guitar), Alan Byrne (bass) and Eamonn Ryan (drums). They have been recording their second album in Los Angeles. Alan Byrne explains it is a different studio experience to recording their 1988 debut 'Been There, Seen That, Done That' but,

It's good to work out there rather than work at home because you’ve got no distractions.

Having won awards at the AIB National Entertainment Awards and Sunday Independent Irish Life Arts Awards Something Happens do not feel the pressure of having to be the band of 1990.

We’re going to be a band of 1990.

Something Happens perform an idiosyncratic acoustic version of the 1987 hit single 'Boys (Summertime Love)’ by the Italian singer Sabrina.
