Some fantastic felines are in Dublin to take part in the Cat of the Year Show.
The Cat of the Year Show is taking place at the Mansion House, Dublin. Organised by the Siamese Cat Club of Ireland, the show is held under the rules of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy of Ireland. At the show, cat lovers will see some of the best felines in the country.
All cats and kittens can compete in the show, from pedigree cats to household pets. Judges on the day are founding member of the Siamese Cat Club Mrs MacDougal, cat breeders Mrs Friederich and Mrs Mahony, and from England, Miss Rickson.
The Siamese Cat Club of Ireland was founded in 1953 with just six members. The membership has since increased to over 100 people.
