The Fleadh Nua is one of the biggest events in the traditional music and dancing calendar.
This year the Fleadh Nua is dedicated to celebrating one hundred years of the GAA. Over 2,000 performers will take part in the event and organisers, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann estimate that over 30,000 people will visit Ennis.
The event is now regarded as a welcome boost for the local economy.
The emphasis is on displays, presentations and family entertainment with some competitions also taking place. There will also be impromptu sessions at different locations throughout the town.
