A valuable resource to help students in second level education make choices for future careers.
The Careers World package includes a book, four CD-Roms and a website providing information on hundreds of jobs for students trying to decide what career would best suit them.
Student response to what Careers World offers has been positive.
There are 23 Irish companies involved in the project from areas as diverse as banking and nursing. These companies are funding the project so the initiative will not cost the schools anything.
Anna Gethings, Woodgrange Consultants, says there was a need for a multimedia, single resource to provide information on career paths.
It allows students to assess where their talents and interests lie. They are then told what jobs suit them best.
Sean Gannon, Director of Career and Guidance Services at Trinity College Dublin, says the service allows second level students to discover more about their future career preferences.
