Brendan Gleeson chats about appearing in the Paul Mercier play 'Home' produced by The Passion Machine theatre company.

A comedy set in a Dublin bedsit 'Home' premiered last autumn at the SFX (St Francis Xavier Hall) where it had a sellout run and has now transferred to the Olympia Theatre. The play written by Paul Mercier is a Passion Machine production.

Brendan Gleeson welcomes the change of venue, as he believes that the move to the Olympia Theatre brings the work of The Passion Machine to a wider audience, and

It's a different atmosphere.

Plays produced by The Passion Machine are known for their contemporary themes and robust language. Brendan Gleeson believes s that audiences will not hear anything that they have not heard before in 'Home’.

The author of two plays himself, Brendan Gleeson did not particularly enjoy seeing his work on stage and describes the experience as,

Absolutely terrifying, just nerve wracking.
