All aboard the musical express with musicians at Connolly Station for the RTÉ Big Music Week.
Kodaline and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra perform at Connolly Station in Dublin for the beginning of RTÉ Big Music Week. The Big Music Week will promote live music across the country.
Anne Marie Power, the producer of Big Music Week, explains how this year, RTÉ have hired a three-carriage train from Irish Rail. The carriages have been converted into an entertainment area and a recording studio. Throughout the week, 150 musicians will pass through the train as it makes musical journeys.
Fiachna Ó Braonáin, Luan Parle, Eleanor McEvoy, The Lost Brothers performed on the train as it made its way to Connolly Station. Later the train went to Newbridge in Kildare, where members of the Patrician Primary School Brass Band, came out to welcome it. Cormac O'Shea, Patrician Primary School, says that the children in the band have put a lot of work into their performance.
This train will travel all over the country.
Big Music Week will end with a concert in Vicar Street, Dublin next Saturday.
