Rallies in Dublin and across the country call for the violence to stop following IRA bombs in Warrington.

The protests against violence come a week following the Warrington bombing which killed two children and the deaths of six people in Northern Ireland. The IRA bomb attack in Warrington resulted in the deaths of three year old Jonathan Ball and 12 year old Tim Parry. In Dublin, thousands of people took part in a in a rally in to demonstrate their absolute objection to violence in Northern Ireland and around the world.

Susan McHugh who organised the event said that this was just the beginning. Addressing the crowd on O'Connell Street, she said,

I am the voice of a child saying today, please, please, please, make it stop.

Members of the public expressed their disgust at the bombings.

Similar rallies for peace also took place around the country.
