The song 'Lights of Tetouan' is taken from the band's second album Speak Slowly (1988) released on Rough Trade Records. Their first album 'Sacred Heart Hotel' (1986) was also released on Rough Trade.

The Stars of Heaven members feature Stephen Ryan on guitar and vocals, Stan Erraught on guitar, Peter O'Sullivan on bass, and Bernard Walsh on drums. The band are joined on stage by Conor Horgan behind the keyboards.

This first series of ‘Megamix’ was recorded in the Cathedral Club, once the old Synod Hall of Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin. The programme was recorded in front of an audience and combined live performances with music videos. The featured music was dance oriented and shots of audience members dancing also appeared in the programme. The series presenters were Flo McSweeney and Kevin Sharkey.
