Scandinavian culture at Dublin Airport with a procession of light to mark the Feast of Saint Lucy.

The Scandinavian festival of lights is celebrated each year on 13 December and honours Saint Lucia. The Irish Scandinavian Club organised a celebration at Dublin Airport looking forward to the brighter days of the new year ahead.

Around 180 guests gathered as Marianne Ohrval, daughter of the Swedish Ambassador, lead the candle lit procession into the airport restaurant. Dressed in a white gown with a crown of candles Marianne Ohrval as Saint Lucia enters the darkened room.

Following the ceremony of light, Swedish glog, a spiced punch, was served and guests enjoyed some dancing.
