As part of One World Week children in Ballymun learn about life in Peru.
The objective of One World Week is to share an understanding about some of the global issues that affect us all. Pat Tierney known as 'Pat the Poet' is with the children of the Ballymun Rhymers' Club as they learn about Peru. The children of the Ballymun Rhymers' Club will write a poem to send to the children of Peru.
He's going to help the Ballymun Rhymers' Club learn all about Peru in South America through the use of poetry.
Pat Tierney and the children discuss the differences and similarities in cultures across the world. Maria Elena, who comes from Peru answers questions from the children about her country. The children ask about the food people eat, the type of houses they live in and the clothes they wear.
