Exhibition of drawings and caricatures by political cartoonist Martyn Turner on show in Bray.

One of Ireland's best known newspaper cartoonists, Martyn Turner has published a selection of his work in book form and the cartoons are now on display at the Town Hall in Bray, County Wicklow.

This is the first exhibition at Bray Town Hall since its recent refurbishment. The building now accommodates The House of James Art Gallery and restaurant.

Martyn Turner put the final touches to the collection of cartoons which spans two years of his output with apologies to none.

Themes of the exhibition include the stages of education from primary school to emigration, dress codes in the Oireachtas, the war in Bosnia, the abortion referendum and Northern Ireland.

No section of authority, civil and judicial, has been spared the barbed nib of Mr Turner.
