People gather in Dublin to protest against racism following the death of an immigrant.

Over one hundred people take part in a rally called in response to an attack in Temple Bar last weekend that led to the death of 50 year old Leong Ly Min. Leong Ly Min, who was of Chinese-Vietnamese origin, had come to Ireland as a refugee from Vietnam in 1979. Two men have been charged in connection with his death.

Union leaders, who were among the protesters, say that the trade union movement has a vital role to play in ending sectarianism and racism.

Flowers were laid at the spot where Leong Ly Min was critically injured last Friday. He later died in hospital.
