Irish Air Corps and Navy personnel take part in a training exercise code named Operation High Rise.
Operation High Rise began off the Blasket Islands and concluded off Wicklow Head.
Two of the Air Corp's five Dauphin helicopters are specially adapted to land on ships. Minister for Defence Brendan Daly has confirmed that one of the helicopters will be operating from the naval ship LÉ Eithne which according to the naval service will greatly improve their fishery control capability.
Commander John Kavanagh outlines the benefits of having a helicopter on board which should greatly help them carry out their duties.
With the helicopter embarked, it can be sent out on patrols out to 1,700 miles from the ship.
