UNICEF was established in 1946 to provide food and healthcare to children affected by the devastation of World War II.

Sixty seven years later the work of UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) continues with its headquarters in New York and over two hundred country offices worldwide.

To mark sixty seven years of UNICEF, RTÉ Archives looks back to 1971 on the 25th Anniversary with a programme 'Jubilee for Children' looking at the work of UNICEF to date.

In this clip from the documentary Seán Mac Réamoinn celebrates the work carried out by UNICEF throughout the world. The full programme is available at RTÉ Documentary on One.

The radio documentary 'Jubilee for Children' was first broadcast on 4 July 1971.
