A new educational video brings to life the events surrounding the Battle of the Boyne.
A video is launched jointly by the Departments of Education in the Republic and Northern Ireland.
It presents a view of the events surrounding the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.
The video is based on materials brought together for the 'Kings in Conflict' exhibition at the Ulster Museum in Belfast. The video will be shown in every school on the island of Ireland.

Minister for Education in the Republic of Ireland Mary O'Rourke described the video as a constructive study of conflict which could help to improve cross border cooperation and understanding. Minister O’Rourke says that young people have a keen interest in history and the events that surrounded specific dates. The video provides a visual representation of the events of the Battle of the Boyne from which students north and south of the border can learn.
