Musicians tour to mark the 40th anniversary of the drafting by the United Nations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, Amnesty International has organised a twelve nation rock music tour for some of the best known pop music superstars in the business. Tracy Chapman, Bruce Springsteen and Sting will play at start of the tour at Wembley Stadium in London.

Speaking at a news conference to launch the tour, the artists explain why they got involved in the tour.

For Bruce Springsteen, the tour is about teaching the message of amnesty.

Music can change people's minds and attitudes and feelings about themselves, about their own humanity and in doing so, it changes the way they look on the next guy.

Tracy Chapman got involved to build awareness and feels that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights embodies much of what she grew up believing.

For Sting, the song is a powerful, political tool and musicians can influence the way people think.
