Ballymun was one of the first areas in Dublin to be affected by a bus dispute when one of the three buses serving the area was cancelled.

Until the strike began on 8 December 7,500 people were using the number 36 bus route each day. However since the cancellation of this route passengers have had to transfer to the 13 and 19 bus routes and are not happy about it.

One woman comments

The people of Ballymun should get out on the road there and protest because we have to wait two hours every evening, if you're going into town, coming home for a bus. It's disgraceful.
