Prayers take place at the gates of RTÉ in Donnybrook in protest at the appearance on the Late Late Show of the authors of a book on the subject of convent sexuality.

The Late Late Show presenter Gay Byrne interviewed two lesbian ex-nuns and some viewers were not happy.

The two American authors Nancy Manahan and Rosemary Curb were in Ireland to promote their book ‘Breaking Silence: Lesbian Nuns on Convent Sexuality’. The book is a collection of essays and interviews involving girls who joined convents in America and discovered lesbian tendencies.
