So often sport and especially the game of hurling offers highs and lows that test the emotions and nerves of supporters.

With minutes remaining Clare lead Cork by a point in the 1995 Munster hurling championship semi-final. By this stage both sides had hit an alarming number of wides. Clare had used all of their substitutes and were playing with centre back Seanie McMahon at corner forward because of an injured arm.

When Kevin Murray scored a goal for Cork it put his team two points ahead but the drama was not complete. In injury time a high ball into the Cork goal mouth was finished to the net by Ollie Baker. Now Clare led by a single point again. Still no time to draw breath as Cork's Alan Browne attempt at a point came off the post Ger Manley got to the rebound but his shot for goal was blocked by Frank Lohan saving the day for Clare.

The final score of Clare 2-13 Cork 3-09 meant the Banner county had held out to reach their third Munster final in row.
