Gazan mother says 'whole family killed' in Israeli strike

Mourners gathered at the Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza city of Deir al-Balah this morning, following an Israeli strike on a house in Al Bureij camp, that killed several members of the same family, relatives said.

Selah Rouqa, the mother of Haneen Rouqa, who was killed in the strike, said her daughter, along with her husband, their children and her husband's relatives of the Al Sous family, were killed in the strike.

At least 13 bodies were brought to the Al Aqsa Hospital from Al Sous family, as well as others, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.

More than 36,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's air and land war across all of Gaza, with 53 of those killed in the past 24 hours, the Hamas-run enclave's health ministry said.

Israel launched its offensive after Hamas fighters crossed from Gaza into southern Israel on 7 October last year, killed 1,200 people and abducted more than 250, according to Israeli tallies.
