Investigation after man found dead outside Dundalk property

An investigation is under way after the body of a man aged in his 30s was found outside a property in Co Louth.

The discovery was made around 8am at Dúiche Roden in Dundalk.

The scene, which has been sealed off, is being examined by the Garda Technical Bureau.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the man's body.

Gardaí said the results will determine the course of their investigation.

A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Dundalk Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them, particularly anyone with camera footage (including dashcam) from the Dúiche Roden or Demesne Road areas of Dundalk overnight.
