The families of two murdered men are appealing for information after the cases remain unsolved.
The family of Vincent Maher from Finglas in Dublin is waiting for answers about his murder while the family of murdered Mayo man Owen Maughan is appealing for help to progress the investigation into his death six years on.
Vincent Maher was 29 years old when he was found dead in his apartment in Finglas on 11 January 2014. He had been severely beaten.
Vincent's mother Tina describes her son as, "the life and soul of everywhere he went".
His father Terry says Vincent left behind a daughter: "As a father...he couldn’t put a foot wrong. She loved every bit of him."
Tina says she wants to know what happened to Vincent so that she can have peace, "not only for me but for all my family".
Meanwhile, Owen Maughan, aged 29, was shot outside a service station close to his home in Castlebar on 18 December 2013.
He died from his injuries later that night. Despite an extensive investigation, no one has been charged with his murder.
Owen's wife Anne says her life changed forever the day Owen was murdered: "I cannot come to terms with why it happened. Why did they think it was ok to just drive into a garage and murder someone?"
Owen’s father Seamus says: "The pain doesn’t go away. It’s something you have to learn to live with. No one deserves to die like that."
Anne appeals to those who have information about her husband’s murder to come forward: "I do pray to God that someone will just come forward with information...Owen was a good person. Owen needs justice."
Both families are appealing for anyone with information to contact gardaí.
Crimecall will be broadcast on RTÉ One at 9.35pm tonight.
