A man is in a serious condition following an assault in Co Waterford in the early hours of this morning.
The 27-year-old received a number of head injuries as a result of the incident.
The incident happened at the junction of John Street and the Manor at around 3am.
He has been taken to Cork University Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
