A woman in her 90s has died in a road crash in Macroom, Co Cork.
The woman was seriously injured when her car collided with another vehicle on Sleaveen Road at 5.20pm.
She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Her body was removed to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A man driving the other car was not injured.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Macroom Garda Station on 026-20590.
