A woman in her 40s has been charged in relation to the assault of a three-year-old girl in south Dublin on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened in a house in Shankill.
The woman appeared before a special sitting of Bray District Court last night.
She was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again on Thursday 15 February.
The child remains in a critical condition in hospital.
