A second person has been arrested by gardaí investigating the shooting in Mullhuddart during which three people were shot and injured.
The 23-year-old woman was arrested in County Wicklow on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
Baby John Collins, his 29-year-old mother Lynn Doyle and his 17-year-old uncle Mathew Collins were taken to hospital after being shot at Parslickstown Green.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The woman arrested today can be questioned for up to three days. A 48-year-man arrested yesterday is still being questioned.
A sawn-off shotgun was also recovered today by officers from the Divisional Search Team.
It was discovered hidden in Parslickstown Gardens where the shooting took place.
Detectives suspect the shooting may have been carried out by a woman.
Leading members of the Traveller community have appealed for calm following yesterday's shooting, which is linked to an ongoing Traveller feud.
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Pavee Point spokesperson Martin Collins said if the row is not resolved, "it has the potential to escalate and it could even be worse next time, where potentially lives could be lost".
Mr Collins said he would encourage those involved "to see sense, come back to the table and to understand that violence and conflict is not inevitable, it is entirely preventable".
He said a garda presence is a really important deterrent as it would help to try to contain the situation and keep families apart.
He said there were "various attempts over the last number of months and indeed years to try to find a resolution through mediation", which have been unsuccessful.
The manager of the Blanchardstown Traveller Development Group has offered its services to help resolve the dispute.
Speaking on the same programme, Catherine Joyce said they would be willing to work with gardaí, community groups and those involved to try to come to a resolution once things calm down.
She called on both families to make sure there is no further escalation of the dispute or any retaliation for what happened yesterday.
Ms Joyce said what happened yesterday was fallout from an incident two years ago.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
