Fresh appeal for information as Dublin murder victim identified

A man whose body was found in a laneway in north county Dublin on Friday has been identified as 32-year-old Michal Kurek.

Mr Kurek was originally from Poland but had been living in the Dublin area for a number of years.

He had been stabbed a number of times and gardaí believe his body was then left near a ditch at a laneway off the Ballyboughal to Oldtown Road, around 1km outside of Ballyboughal.

A murder investigation is under way and gardaí have appealed to any friends or associates of Mr Kurek who may have information as to his recent movements to contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 8020510, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
