Gardaí are investigating after a woman's body was discovered at an apartment in Raphoe, Co Donegal.
The State Pathologist attended the scene this morning and the body was taken from the house shortly after midday for a post-mortem examination.
Gardaí have said that the course of their investigation will be determined by the outcome of the examination.
They were alerted to the flat on William Street in the centre of Raphoe shortly after 8pm last night.
The woman was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
