A young woman who was seriously injured in a crash in Co Mayo on Saturday has died in hospital, bringing to seven the number of people who have died on Irish roads since the weekend.
The woman, who was in her 20s, was a passenger in a car that crashed at Churchfield, Tourmakeady.
A man who was in the front passenger seat died at the scene.
The woman and the man driving the car were both taken to Mayo University Hospital Castlebar with serious injuries.
The woman died late last night.
Elsewhere, a man in his 30s died following a collision in Co Louth in the early hours of this morning.
The man was seriously injured in a collision involving his car and a lorry on the M1 northbound between junctions 13 and 14 at around 1.30am.
He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where he was later pronounced dead.
The lorry driver was not injured.
Gardaí appealed for witnesses to contact Dunleer Garda Station on 041-6851202, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
Also on Saturday, a man aged in his 40s was killed in a collision near Athlone on the M6 between junctions 13 and 14.
In Co Fermanagh, Dominic Earley, who was a member of Cavan GAA's backroom team, was killed in a road crash near Tempo.
Yesterday, two men died in separate road crashes in counties Meath and Wicklow.
Gardaí are examining a second scene in Co Wicklow around 2km away from where the body of a man, aged in his early 40s, was found following the collision at Coolgreany Road in Arklow.
