A murder investigation has been launched after the discovery of a body in Waterford city yesterday.
The body of Abdi Rasheed Kaaheen Shire, 48, was found in an apartment on Wellington Street at about 9.20am yesterday morning.
The Somali national had lived in the Waterford city area.
Gardaí say the results of a post-mortem examination have not been released for operational reasons.
