Gardaí have appealed for information after the body of a 22-year-old woman was found in Cork city yesterday.
Amy McCarthy's body was found at a premises on Sheares Street.
Gardaí say they are appealing to anyone with information, particularly anyone who can help in tracing the whereabouts and movements of Ms McCarthy from Saturday afternoon to yesterday morning.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out and a preliminary report is with investigating gardaí.
Details of the post-mortem are not being released for operational reasons.
Gardaí say they are investigating all of the circumstances of the death. No arrests have been made to date.
