Gardaí investigating the murder of Samantha Walsh have arrested a man aged in his late 20s.
The man is currently being detained at Waterford Garda Station.
Samantha Walsh, from Lisduggan in Waterford city, was found dead on Friday in an apartment on Thomas Street in Waterford where she had been living.
The body of Ms Walsh, who had a number of young children, was brought to University Hospital Waterford for a post-mortem examination.
