The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group says the success of its latest collaboration with the BBC provides further evidence that Ireland is "one of the best destinations in the northern hemisphere" for wildlife filming.

The IWDG has recently completed a 3-day shoot with a crew from the BBC's Natural History Unit on board the RV Celtic Mist.

During the trip they filmed and photographed one of nature's most spectacular sights - a breaching humpback whale near the Skelligs off the Kerry coast.
