Police in England are searching for a gunman who shot dead an off-duty police constable and injured another man.
The shootings happened in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex this afternoon, with the victim being named as Pc Ian Dibell.
Police said they were searching for 64-year-old Peter Reeve, who they described as white, about 1.78m (5ft 10in) tall with short, greyish hair.
Residents have been urged to remain indoors while armed officers continue the search operation.
