Poland crash - 280 people were on board

Four people died and more than 30 were injured after a Polish train travelling from Warsaw to the southern city of Katowice derailed.

The train had been carrying around 280 people in four carriages and came off the rails near Piotrkow Trybunalski in central Poland.

At least one of the carriages turned on its side. Preliminary findings suggest that the engine and four cars derailed.

The number of casualties may rise further, but there has been no immediate indication of the cause of the crash.
