A 19-year-old man appeared in court in Harristown, Co Roscommon, this morning charged with the murder of his 46-year-old mother.
Celyn Eadon was remanded for a further two weeks to appear at Harristown District Court on 15 April.
A post mortem revealed that mother-of-four Noreen Kelly Eadon died from multiple stab wounds at her home at Islandeady, Co Mayo, on Wednesday 9 March.
