Rioters in Northern Ireland threw petrol bombs at police in a fourth night of unrest in north Belfast.
Police responded by firing rubber bullets when the trouble flared late yesterday.
Riots on three previous nights injured 82 police officers and drew appeals for restraint from Northern Ireland's leaders.
Petrol bombs were thrown in the mainly Catholic Ardoyne area and a car was set alight, prompting police to use water cannon and shoot rounds of rubber bullets.
A smaller number of rioters were involved last night than on previous nights.
Two men were arrested during last night's disturbances, but one has since been released pending further inquiries.
The disturbances come at the height of Northern Ireland's marching season.
Authorities are blaming a small group of troublemakers for the violence.
PSNI Chief Constable Matt Baggott described trouble earlier this week as 'recreational rioting with a sinister edge'.
In the most violent riots of the past few days on Monday, dissident republicans threw petrol bombs and concrete slabs at Orangemen and their police escort as they marched through Ardoyne.
