Woman stable after Howth accident

A woman in her early 50s is in a stable condition, after she was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital following an accident in Howth, Co Dublin.

Emergency services say the woman was driving a car which fell 100 metres down a steep incline from the Upper Cliff Road, near Howth Summit, shortly before midday.

The Dublin Coastguard, the Howth Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team and Dublin fire brigade paramedics assisted in rescuing the woman from the car at Casana Rocks.
