Body recovered in Kerry search

The body of a man, believed to be that of a missing windsurfer, has been found on the beach at Ballyheigue in Co Kerry.

The man in his 30s was reported missing at 4.30pm.

An air and sea search involving the Shannon coastguard helicopter and Fenit lifeboat along with a number of local people took place throughout the evening.

The body was recovered by a local cliff and coast rescue team shortly after 8pm.
