The Irishman whose young daughter is missing in New Zealand has said he hopes whoever has her is looking after her well.
Two-year-old Aisling Symes disappeared from outside a relative’s house in Auckland on Monday.
Police fear she may have been abducted.
On RTÉ Radio's Marian Finucane programme Alan Symes said they have been told to hold onto hope and try and be positive.
But Mr Symes, who is originally from Waterford, said the family is thinking about every scenario from Aisling being taken by someone who is very lonely, right up to abductions and the idea that she was ‘stolen to order’.
He said he and his wife are really desperate and just want their daughter back healthy.
Mr Symes said they are hoping that whoever has her may be slightly reclusive and have shut off from the real world.
