Six Ukrainian miners have been killed in a coal mine blast in the eastern Lugansk region of the country.
The methane gas blast occurred 500m underground at the Duvanna mine, spokesman Igor Krol said.
Mr Krol said 119 miners were working in the area at the time, of whom 113 managed to escape.
Deadly accidents are frequent in Ukraine's mines, most of which are located in the country's east.
Many of the mines are under-funded and poorly equipped, while safety violations are rife.
