Four MPs of Zimbabwe's opposition Movement for Democratic Change have been arrested in Harare.
The arrests bring the total number of MDC members in custody to five, police said.
The MDC earlier claimed three MPs had been arrested at the Zimbabwean parliament on charges of political violence.
A deputy was arrested on Monday ahead of a crucial vote to elect the speaker of parliament, and is being held on rape charges.
Another MP arrested with him was later released.
Parliament was officially opened this morning with a speech from President Robert Mugabe, who was loudly heckled by the opposition.
