Limerick woman injured in crash

A woman in her 30s has been seriously injured in a crash in Co Limerick this evening.

It is understood that the woman was pinned against a wall after she was hit by a car close to Mungret village.

Two other people were also been injured. The woman, who is also believed to be pregnant, was rushed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital.

Elsewhere three people were taken to hospital after two separate crashes in Co Galway.

A woman was brought to hospital with minor injuries after the first incident in Oranmore shortly after noon.

The second collision which involved a lorry and a car occurred at around 1.30pm at Casey's Cross in Moyvilla.

It is understood the lorry overturned and the drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital but their injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.
