Disgraced British glam rocker Gary Glitter has been refused entry to Honk Kong and is due to be deported again.
It is not clear where he will be deported to on this occasion, having been turned away by Thailand earlier.
The 64-year-old, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was allowed to board a Thai Airways flight to Hong Kong even though immigration police at Bangkok airport said he would be deported to London 'as soon as possible'.
Police said Glitter feigned ear and heart problems in Bangkok to miss a connecting flight to London, apparently fearful of a hostile reception in Britain.
Hong Kong was always extremely unlikely to allow him entry, given his conviction in Vietnam, a prior conviction in the UK on child pornography charges, and the extra sensitivity of Chinese authorities during the Olympics.
Glitter was allowed to wander freely in Bangkok airport for nearly 24 hours despite being officially declared persona non grata in Thailand.
Glitter served two years and nine months of a three-year sentence for abusing two girls, aged 10 and 11.
British newspapers, which had reporters on the plane as Glitter left Vietnam, said he had complained of heart problems and refused to board the London-bound flight.
